If there are too many/too few people on when you try to play then try playing at different times.
Or try organise a regular crew and find a spot you can easily hit up but is rarely full.

lets do some math, cuz everyone always likes that.
lvls 20-49 your hp regen is 3, lvl 60 your hp regen is 7. Troll ill makes it 4 and 8 respectively. So obviously the effect will be much larger lvls 20-49 vs 60 because of the ratio. Assume you have 1500 hps max and you got smacked down to 100 hps, leaving 1400 hps to be healed for all scenarios. at 60 it would take 200 ticks or 20 minutes to regen to full. at 20-49 it would take 466.666 ticks or 46.666 minutes to regen to full. Now with ill. at 60 175 ticks or 17.5 minutes to regen to full - difference of 2.5 minutes. at 20-49 350 ticks or 35 minutes to regen to full - difference of 11.666 minutes. I am lvl 39 and have 1k hps. So lets say I got beat down to 100 hps, 900 to make up. 300 vs 225 ticks or 30 vs 22.5 min. I notice 7.5 minutes. No matter the hp you have you will see these reduction in % of time needed to regen: Level 1-19: N/A. Troll illusion is lvl 20. Level 20-49: 25% reduction Level 50-55: 20% reductoin Level 56-59: 16.666% reduction Level 60: 12.5% reduction Also, trolls are awesome.

Have you tried Estate of Unrest? I've been leveling there since 16 (currently lvl 27) and there's not a single enchanter that sits "LFG" for very long.

From level 1 on multiple toons I've had constant groups. Perhaps its your class / hunting location choice? If you're anywhere near Karanas expect a lonely life. Head to gfay/cb/unrest/mm and you'll get yourself a party.

I agree, but find it sad none the less that we've turned 15 yr old EQ into a modern theme park in how we play it. It could just be that we're a top heavy population and we've made do. Still sad though. PS- still unimpressed by the troll illusion giving you 1 extra hp a tic. I'm an actual troll in game and I'm unimpressed lol.

In the early levels I found that it was easier to charm solo in zones where Druids are often also around to trade breeze for sow. At lvl 20, the ideal zone for this is east karana. You can charm the gorge hounds found all over the zone or the spiders near the ramp for great exp. It's relatively safe also as you should not have any problems finding SoW for a breeze trade in that zone.
Another option which I would recommend at around ~23 range would be the gargoyles at ocean of tears. This camp is usually open and the gargoyles can drop 0-2 gargoyle eyes which vendor for 9pp each. Only downside is that this is a bit riskier, as there are no guards/zoneline to run to.
