I got what you were saying. Essentially that p99 may have to do something stupid like changing Npc/location/race names or the spelling of them at least (ikkssar,vellious, etc.) in order to avoid being shut down which would effectively end the era of people saying "shits not classic" because by law they literally wouldn't be able to have things exactly the way they were on live. Something to that effect anyway.

That way the server could be called a custom content server and not an exact replication of another company's product.

I could see Sony(I will never call them Daybreak) since they are releasing a Progression server(I am sure will have Sony cash and IGP) they will not or would not want competition. They will see P99 as stealing over 1000 of their potential wallets.

At the same time I doubt EQ(Sony) in its current incarnation looks anything like P99 so they really cannot at this point say its the same game. /shrug I am sure thats a thin arguement if you get lawyers involved but its there none the less.
