I'm just curious on what difference your bards running for 5 mins makes vs a coth race. Because we know it doesn't depend on who reacts a millisecond faster and runs against the pre-determined exact course.

The difference is 48 hours of wasted lives:

A proper coth chain requires two mages and two persons to coth (preferably bard since coth mages must be oor. The mages are to off set their casting by 4-5 seconds, and duck and recast. They are to do this for 16 hours.

A bard can bind site on a fd afk toon at the zone in, and just wait for the dragon.

im afraid you made this up, our intention was always to move to C for respawn mobs and nobody ever said otherwise. its been a great move, we get mobs and we have to commit a minimal amount of time and effort to do so.

Seems like a smart tactic to me.
