FBSS and Storm Wood Battle Staff or Swiftwind??

or...

NO FBSS and Woodsmans Staff??

A Swarmcaller is great to have until you obtain Earthcaller, although it doesn't proc until 46

But what about my weapon proficiency? Well, I'm glad you asked! You how when you're soloing (always) that the mob flees at 19% and stops moving or fighting back because you're an awesome ranger who snares things? That's a great time to swap to low damage 1 handers for practice or your Runed Blade for a nice hp buffer for the next fight.

Without parsing these, I'm going to say FBSS + Springwood Stave, if you cannot afford a Woodsman + FBSS.

Silver Swiftblade 1-29. Woodsman's staff 30-epics. lupine dagger MH and CSS OH is pretty good in the 50s but not before. If you have the dexterity (200+) you could play around with a steel hilted flint dagger MH and whatever in offhand. Can be fun, not efficient but fun.

my vlv 15 ranger is hitting for max of 28 with silverswiftblade...str 110

seems an odd number!? well hits are 20 or 28. /boggle

28 is cap from 10-19 (you can go over sometimes with high str, but usually it's just 28). Lifts to 58 or something like that from 20-29
