So...i've actually been there...since im in afghanistan right now...had to go through qatar...it's a terrible idea...i will confirm...I went in October and it was over 100 deg...i was nocturnal while i was there to stay outta the sun...not only that, but everywhere i went around there was DUSTY AS HECKKKKKK Very little greenery....

I lived in Dubai for a while. The summer heat has to be experienced to believe. 54 degrees Celsius in the shade. Dusty, hellish. Winter is nice though.

I know they want to spread the wealth by giving the World Cup to new regions but there has to be a better way than this. Putting in all that air conditioning in the middle of a desert? 130 degrees?? What about when the fans that are waiting in line outside?

Why do they have to award the 2022 world cup so far in advance? At the same they award the 2018 world cup? 12 Years is a long time, who knows if Qatar is even still around by then.
