I mostly agree with the OP: Rogean made the server, Rogean wants it classic, so it's going to stay classic. End of story. All the bad penis analogies in the world won't change that.

(BTW, am I the only one thinking that the penis size guy's posts revealed more about that guy's .... um ... insecurities than about whatever it was he was trying to say?)

However, I do have one point of disagreement. To everyone who's been saying "why come here if you don't like classic?", please. There is sooooo much about this server that is good that has nothing to do with it being classic:

• it has amazing staff
• it's 100% free
• it doesn't allow boxing
• it doesn't have any form of "pay to play" (either SOE's or RMT)
• it doesn't have any of the crazy new instanced EQ nonsense

Just because someone comes here looking for all that (which NO other server in the world has I should note) doesn't mean they don't want to play Luclin or PoP. Like I said that won't change Rogean's mind, so P99 is staying classic, but you can't fault people for wanting everything that's great about this server, just with a few more expansions.

I took it as a joke. If this person was being serious about the penis size to gear ratio, it only reveals what a giant dummy the poster is.

At some point making ironic statements that are contrary to your actual beliefs stops being "sarcasm" and just becomes trolling. But whether you think Erdyan was being "sarcastic" (for six pages of posts), an idiot, or just a troll (my money's on that one) I stand by my statement.

The big mistake some people make is mistaking forumquest for the game. Lots of crazy internet BS and attitude happens on forumquest (it's classic!) by people who, when you meet them in game, are very nice people. I always assume forums are what they are, always have been full of all kinds of attitude, but how someone actually plays the game is usually -- not all the time -- a very diff story.

btw, if you substitute in the word "gay sex" for "raid gear" in Blitzer's post, you get what he is really worked up about. You go girlfriend, you go.
