Real response is not pretty, especially considering the questionable arbitrary rules that were always being "recently changed," which seemed to be implemented on a case by case basis with no real logical foundation, that left some of the more wealthy players fucked in his wake.
I know some of you from Blue aren't terribly interested in Red, but to give you a frame of reference for the way Holocaust operates - we're basically giving out Gnarled Staffs to recruits, brand new players that have shown little devotion to the guild (not VP keyed, not 60, not in the guild for even a month, still a recruit tag in TS, etc).
If you excel and are dedicated, it just amplifies what we give you.
I think Stumpkin is from TMO and like a 5 month old guy here - has PD robe, PD earring, tobrins, wiz epic, left eye of xygoz. Most of our older blue croots are very well geared now, probably much more so than a lot of you casual players on Blue.
We try to keep raiding to a 4 day a week thing, even three if we can. Because we control most mobs, it's not really an issue. The potential for pickup raids and epic fights is big on those off days. Our way of awarding people things regardless of status in the guild is built that way specifically to target Blue players into trying Red. You don't have to wait in line forever to get things you want, and the exp bonus ensures an even easier rate at which you'll get to where you want.
It's not the unforgiving environment it once was, and it's still not crowded here. If you want a camp, take it from others via PvP.
Most people we pickup from Blue that get into PvP skirmishes talk about getting "jitters" during the fights. It's pretty exciting, despite it not seeming that way maybe on the surface.
Y'all pals should give it a shot. All guilds on the server are actively recruiting, and all have different playstyles, goals, etc.
