Yeah chanter/druid is about as easy more as you can get for duoing. It's a 100% self-sufficient pairing, especially once the druid can start porting the 2 of you around. But even before then you will have access to sow which should not be taken for granted in classic.

Tank cleric is a decent second option because it's easiest for those 2 to build a group around them.
But for duoing that's pretty rough as you have little utility to survive when things go bad.

War/Monk combo is alot of fun.
GF and I tried this one. It was indeed fun except you end up with alot of downtime. I started a cleric to compliment her War and we are having a blast!

She is 12 and cleric is 10. We are trying very hard to get Curative to 14 for his better heal.....it seems sooo far away right now though lol

Enchanter + Wizard; War + Monk/Rogue/Wiz/Cleric; Cleric + Paladin; Ranger + Sham/Shd; Necro + Druid; Mag + Bard/Shd; Shd + Rog/Sham....

The main problems you run into are: spells don't stack (i.e. dots and roots), mana/health run out, no tank, or factions don't work together. Taking those things into consideration, you just want characters that are close enough that you can play together, and you want to find a camp that you can handle. You'll be fine.

It mostly depends on your playstyle(s).

Enchanter plus anything else. Enchanter/Shammy is pretty deadly.
