One of my friends in game who I will keep un-named is a very shy person, but plays her class super well and is very chatty in game. If I were to form a guild and she joined it. I would know treat her any different if she was in TS or not. Guilds requiring that need to enforce that on a member joining instead of complaining about a person not doing it AFTER they joined. People can make excises all they want but facts remain.

That's a pretty good reason but you gotta remember, as a levelling guild it's easily the best place for any established player in #1 and #2 guild to park their alt in for those sweet xp gains. You can try to eliminate spies or minimize them but more often than not, the cure is worse than the disease.

The easiest and best authentication is having someone on Ts and keeping vital chats into zone wide or ranged channels if you're doing something important. Guildchat is good for chatter but pretty bad for anything else.
