No one disputes that the leaderboard is really a killshot measurer. It's unfortunate that enchanters setting up kills for people and stuff like that doesn't get them any credit, but that's the nature of the beast. That won't change without official P99 sponsorship and source code integration, and even then, it would be difficult.
Scoring will be weighted severely in favor of in-range-to-60 PvP. Something to the effect of level 56-60s opting in will start with 3 points, and level 10s opting in will receive 0.1 points, and maybe something like 0.3 points for people 50-56. This will be a trickle-down system like the system in economics that clearly works so well - points will eventually trickle down from 56-60 PvP into the lower brackets. I'm considering adding a third digit to the scoring for greater precision. It's still being hashed out, but I'm excited to bring some big changes soon.
