maybe with the ability to input info, like the opt-in and level brackets, one could input a group, when they're in one, and then any YT generated would give the non-killshot group members the assist.

that's not a very good way to do it tho, and could/would probably just get abused in some manner.

No one disputes that the leaderboard is really a killshot measurer. It's unfortunate that enchanters setting up kills for people and stuff like that doesn't get them any credit, but that's the nature of the beast. That won't change without official P99 sponsorship and source code integration, and even then, it would be difficult.

Scoring will be weighted severely in favor of in-range-to-60 PvP. Something to the effect of level 56-60s opting in will start with 3 points, and level 10s opting in will receive 0.1 points, and maybe something like 0.3 points for people 50-56. This will be a trickle-down system like the system in economics that clearly works so well - points will eventually trickle down from 56-60 PvP into the lower brackets. I'm considering adding a third digit to the scoring for greater precision. It's still being hashed out, but I'm excited to bring some big changes soon.

The leaderboard is pretty good as it is, just need to find a way to make it focus on 60 pvp and possibly a better credit or point system..rewards for season places would be good too.

I agree, and probably most people do as well.

What can be done tho? Maybe if youre in a group that gets a kill, and you aren't the one who got the killshot, you get an assist point?

Take a look at how the devnoob/image boxes do it and duplicate? It's not perfect by any means, but basically anyone in the group gets credit for a kill, and you get a bonus for the killshot.

But that would require an in game leaderboard made by staff so it will never happen.
