Default Anyone Attending Pax East This Year?

I may be an old dude, but I'm taking my son and his cousin down to Pax East for one of the weekend days this year, as they are in their late teens and both enjoy gaming.

We're taking the train down, will do an overnight in Boston and a day at the convention.

Anyone else planning on going? Have you been before? If so, can you share any advice that will help make the experience better? This is our first convention.

I have heard for instance, that if you want to join a competition or see a panel, get there early? What's the convention food like? Best exhibits? Best day to go? What do you look forward to there? What do you like or hate about Pax? Any stories from conventions past? Suggestions for restaurants around the area? What transportation is available for the show, can you walk easily across Boston to it? Will Bethesda make any announcements about Fallout? Is it worth going?

Any and all thoughts or comments are welcome.

Never been to anything other then EQ Fanfaire back in the day. Looks like fun though. If you look on reddit at all might want to check there for info. I'm sure more convention goers then there are here. Have a good time though and enjoy all the hotties in cosplay [You must be logged in to view images. Pax used to be fun years back, now it's a SJW run shadow of its former self. Enjoy half of the panels being around the topic of you being a rapist and that you should be ashamed of yourself (Assuming you're male).

If you don't believe me check out all of the bullshit that happened at PAX San Antonio and at Pax Australia these past few months. Here's a hint, Nintendo pulled out last year and even whipping boy Tiggles isn't going this year. I'll let that sink in for a bit.

MAGFest was much more fun than whatever shadow of its former self is going to be in Boston this year.

JUST SAYING.

Anything not tainted by bullshit political correctness. Nauticon is an 18+ alcohol/geekfest. There are several hosted in the Washington state area that are sex positive/focused. Beyond that my knowledge is limited on the subject.

If you're not getting women at a con, you're doing it wrong. Tons of hot, socially awkward nerdy chicks there.

Almost every video games/anime con I've been to I've met some sort of guy/girl that's totally okay with LGBT subculture and wanted to bang, too. Nerdy twinks galore. So really, if you can't get any at any of these cons, you're doing it wrong.

I went last year and was unimpressed overall with the event itself, but it was fun hanging out with friends.

Someone had mentioned to me that they might have held a csgo tournament, and I was going to try to get in on that with a team, but just heard it's not happening. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]
