Try adjusting the resolution in the eqclient.ini file thusly:

WindowedMode=TRUE

WindowedWidth=1280
WindowedHeight=700
Width=1280
Height=700

But insert values more inline with (and just under) your monitor settings.

Will try that when I get home today.
