Missing dsetup.dll
I'm not really sure what is happening here. I am downloading the latest patch files and copying them into my EQ directory. For some reason when I copy the dsetup.dll it will just disappear from the directory about one second after copying it. Any advice on whats going on?

Ok, I'm having this same problem. How do I fix it?

My antivirus says that particular file is a trojan. Not sure if I should believe it or not but your computer may be deleting it if it thinks so.

Put that file on your antivirus' ignore list as long as you wish to play P99.

My anti-virus software does not allow that. Guess this is the end of the road for me and P99 until the issue is resolved some other way.

Archestratie just turn your "Scan PC option" and "Real-Time Scanning". I keep those off when playing P99. MacAfee are idiots they say they will fix it, but don't get around to anything. Just get a different antivirus next year.
You can keep the latest patch on your desktop and quick extract into your P99 folder to get the .dll back within 20seconds. If quarantine deletes the file ever, but typically you can just restore it from quarantine which takes 5 seconds. It's rare that it will fully delete it. Hope that helps I have the same issue and play fine. Antivirus will still warn you about dangerous sites/be able to repair computer if you visit one regardless of if the Scan PC and Real-Time Scanning are on or off. | ||
