Issues with some options saving

Been having an issue with some options saving properly. Mainly resolution, refresh rate, and sometimes character faces. To start yes, I have changed all applicable settings in my .ini file, and I am using eqgame.exe in compatibility mode with windows xp service pack 2. This isn't anything game breaking, just very annoying. My resolution changes even when i alt+tab out of the game and back in. Also the resolution is still highlighted correctly, but i have to go to options and hit accept etc. The faces on certain characters will also change on their own from time to time, also not game breaking, only annoying.

If there are any ideas as to how this is happening, and how I could fix it, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you.
