Nope you have to establish yourself outside of a group environment otherwise how do we know your not a complete shit player that only relies on there group to do the work for them.

I don't completely disagree with anything you're saying. But in a game that is fundamentally built on gathering into larger and larger groups to clear content is it really that big of a stretch to say that group vs group PVP is more important? I'd argue the elite 1v1 jouster rogue guy who doesn't assist properly, breaks raptures, etc is a worse pvper than the shitty 1v1 rogue who stays on target and plays properly in the group dynamic.

Point being, how someone plays in a group dynamic is both independent of 1v1 skill and more important in a lot of ways.

I will concede though that my scenario is pretty extreme, and people who are good 1v1 tend to be the better ones in groups as well though.

good lord samwise has been 54 since sometime after kunark launch. hes had the same gear for over 2 years. hes a port/buff bot. ofc you havent seen him unless you are a lowbie in unrest/CB/starting zones, youll never see him. i am leveling as many alts as possibly to 55+ before the xp bonus is gone for good. i am on xmas break so i have the time to have a full agatha roster of alts. smell what im cookin?

You don'y think I'm getting Blind, you see the forums you don't think Holocaust is out running around 24/7 looking to chop off BK's head and give it to Lord Ronald.

Nobody is getting blinded and rooted more than I am. I'm the victim of it more than I am the offender, it doesn't effect good players whatsoever. However there aren't a lot of good players here so I cast Blind often. The day I see people acting like I do I'll stop casting it as it will be worthless.
