Haven't played since shortly after the official release of the server.

I was wondering, has melee combat been fixed/improved? Before I stopped playing it seemed as if melee classes didn't have much of a use.

haha yeah it's apparently a lot better, I have only been playing for a few months but they are fixing stuff all the time and it's amazing how great the game is. Classic EQ was buggy as hell and they are doing a good job making this server have less and less bugs, still a lot of pathing issues but honestly there were always those. Just some in different places but once you figure them out, no problem.

It's better than it was. It's not perfect yet for melees, but it's better than it was. Whether it's 'good enough' has to be your own judgment call.
