Jack Daniels should have a place in every cabinet, it's very refined and tastes of southern hospitality.
+1 for the JD love.

Absinthe: Brilliant, excellent, thank you.
Jack Daniels: Blatant troll. Looking at Glenfiddich and Knob Creek
Hendricks Gin: How does that compare with Bombay Sapphire?
Dewars and Titos: How do they compare with Stoli's?
im offended that hendricks was even compared to bombay... im strictly dickly err i mean strictly martinis and theres really no other big brand option.

or if you prefer small batch gin - try to find leopolds or leopolds navy strength it is genuinely divine.

Beefeater is my standard when setting up a bar.

Hello,

I come to you today with a unique issue, and I need your help, I will try to keep this short.

Few months ago I bought a condo, and currently in the process of purchasing a nice looking liquor cabinet. For years I have drank terrible booze, and expensive delicious tequila. My dream now is to put together a fine collection of delicious liquors. Ones that can be savored, possibly while I farm pixels or raid.

My question to you people, since I only know cheap booze, and not fine liquors:

If you could put together the perfect liquor cabinet, what would you include?

For tequila: Don Julio or Patron
Whiskey: Knob Creek
Rum: Sailor Jerry or Kraken

What would need to be there? What would be nice to have? Help me make the perfect collection of deliciousness.
sailor jerry, while delicious, does not fall under fine liqour. Look into a nice South American rum such as http://www.rondiplomatico.com/home.php

Bourbon is an acquired taste. If you have not spent time drinking it, it won't be delicious in the least. But if you want to impress random people the Knob Creek will be fine. Once you run out, just water down a coke and refill the bottle so it will present the image of your refined palate for years to come. Do not put it next to the Patron however, as that is a dead giveaway that you are a pretender or former sorority girl. Patron is just tequila that has been filtered so much that the tequila has been removed and it might as well be sold as vodka. Gran Centenario or Sauza Hornitos in a reposado will both be smooth while remaining an identifiable tequila. Monopolowa is about the only vodka left that is made with potato(traditional), as all the rest(including the above mentioned Titos) is just a heavily filtered grain liquor(cheap). It will sound cool to tell people that just before you pour a Red Bull over it.

If you want an edgy, blue collar vibe, Jameson is the way to go. Rum I can't stand, but there are a few interesting mixes you can do with something like Bacardi Orange, which is not so overwhelmingly sweet as the flavored vodkas. Gin? No one under 70 drinks this; skip it if you are white or buy Tanqueray because the green bottle will set well as an end piece.

And don't forget your Grand Marnier and Cointreau, which look nice and may even refine some of your mixes..

Hendrick's Gin is fucking amazing and the smoothest Gin for people who don't like Gin.
