It is not against the rules for a Class R guild to engage a Class C mob for automatic advancement, however the death time fell after the 6 hour limit and did not trigger this. This is a manipulation of the raid system.

Just thought I'd point out that you were rewarded for breaking the rules and manipulating the system, as other guilds were suspended. Im not sayin, im just sayin.

It's not the same thing. The rotation enables any individual guild that is capable, by its own merits, the opportunity to raid end-game content. We're not carrying guilds that can't do end-game content through it with the rotation. The very post you quoted is about exactly that- why Taken, considered our rivals/competition/enemies/whatever you want to call it in the Class R rotation, the "other" big raiding class R guild, is not themselves trying to get in on this. The very quote you gave is an argument against your REALLY CLEVER TRAP.

and yet, there's guilds that side step the lock outs to kill raid mobs by forming "alliances" (complete with a secret Class R forum) with other guilds that won't be affected by the 2 spawn lock-out a regular basis, I'm looking at you AG/A-team/Omni/Indignation.

To re-iterate, we had nothing to do with the Class C guilds getting themselves suspended, leaving VP wide open for us. Had you not made dumb choices, we probably would have eaten the suspension because there was no benefit to go Class C. However, you guys made the decision super easy, didn't you?

And lets not forget the white elephant in the room... here's the actual raid policy:

"Exception: Any mob that has been alive longer than 6 hours will be considered FFA, and will not be restricted to Class or Lockouts."

Was Talendor alive longer than 6 hours before it died? Yes.

So tell me how we were supposed to know, given that sentence, that the *actual* intent of the rule was "You cannot ENGAGE a mob as a FFA mob until it has been alive for 6 hours"? Which is why Rogean has stated "In the future the raid system will be updated to consider engagement time on checks and placements."

I can't speak for my guild, but I imagine we're pretty tired of being dragged through the mud for blazing the trail on discovering the hard way what the rules were REALLY supposed to say.
