You forgot the "at Azrael's request" part.

You act like it's already over. Just cause you're suspended it doesn't mean you have to give up. I mean there are plenty of avenues open to you, just as there were when you fought against Nihilum (Nihilum was a guild a month or two back that was flawed and eventually retired iirc):

1. Train (try to remember to use throw away chars)
2. Forumquest / lawyerquest / whinefest
3. Threads about variance and wipes
4. Blame everyone else
5. Rename your guild, blame the old leadership, even though it's the same leadership

All I'm saying is, you have plenty of options.

What about the advice you gave to Colgate? Seems to have worked.

Not at all. I think what he did here was impressive though, as far as emulated EQ servers go. I didn't mind the guy and I think he gets a little too much blame for the problems caused by 75% of the people who decided to play here over the last 2 years.

That being said, his time (and the age of Nihilum) have passed. I am looking forward to seeing the shape the server takes without him controlling it, if only just to see how it changes.

My hope is Holocaust runs Azrael off the box and finds a way to amicably split into multiple competing factions. Azrael is just as much an artifact of the previous regime as Nihilum, and the box cannot be truly cleansed and allowed to grow until all weeds are plucked from the garden.

We have absolutely no desire to run Azrael off the server and have put in zero effort to do so. We do not form raiding parties to grief them before raid time, we do not try to run them out of their guild bind.

We don't actually even seek to engage them, we just form up for certain mobs and defend against Azrael when they come to contest.

I'm also not saying anything negative about Nihilum I'm simply stating the truth, we do not run like them, and we do not want to.

funny, i'm pretty sure i remember azrael saying:
they would support server health by working with newer guilds(rejected every single one of my attempts to regulate the raid scene)
they would not recruit at all(absorbed hokuten, still advertise that they're recruiting every day only "exceptional" players)
they would never raid with more than 30(have seen 30+ at an azrael raid on numerous occasions)
i'll borrow your words, they'd "turn away all Nihi scum"(pvped/raided with twainz 2 days ago)

Yeah Hokuten led by Jibeknn an Azrael member who got a Crown of Rile in Az (was basically an officer and super respected member/raid leader we all miss him).
