that really wont help anyone but the retarded.
Do you have a problem with efficiency or a problem with optimization?

I fail to see how either will be achieved. Keep in mind there is only about 1 WTB auction for every 15 or so WTS. The current system works fine and you will never convince 100% of the server to buy into your plan.

It's not a terrible idea, except that people are way too finicky about chat channels. I really don't see why the text being a different color with a different word at the beginning is suddenly some massive annoying inconvenience that merits ignoring them.
There's more to a channel than its color. It's got more to do with which filter it's under, most folks filter things to certain windows so they don't miss important content in another window.

efficiency and optimization. current /wts or /wtb....I change nothing, i have to fiddle with nothing, what I want is completely understood right away.

How is your method, which is adding layers of things to do and adding complications for folks in any way more efficient or optimized?

KISS...it works.

I get annoyed when people auction in ooc, if i see someone auction in shout, they're getting ignored.

/auction WTB
/auction WTS

how is that so hard?
I agreed.

If I see an item link I assume it's a WTS, if I don't and it's in /auc I assume it's WTB. Generalization but it works most of the time. It's just the actual /ooc spam that I tend to inadvertantly ignore.

I have a problem with people bypassing filters I've set up. Would you like it if I used /tell instead of /auc? That's a different colour too.

4 Month old topic, and i think it's save to say this idea never really got off the ground. Not everyone reads the forums so it seems unlikely people will start doing this.

Shout is meant to be a zone wide channel for things of semi-importance, not auction spam.

If it ain't broke...
