Mgs 3 is the pinnacle of the ps2 and my favorite game of all time. I own all the remakes for it.


Peace Walker is fantastic too and you need to play it to get a backstory on this one. You need mgs 3, peace walker, metal gear 1 and 2 and the end of mgs4 (the big boss solid dad hug) for the full backstory. MGS1 and mgs2 are superfluous. Solid Snakes story is over.


Mgs 3 :Substinience ...if you see it buy it. It fixed the onky flaw...the 3rd person camera.....

Ot kinda bums me out solid never lived up to his birthrigjt. He never got to be the Boss. I mean he did save america a few times from computer robot brains things. But he never lived up to the legacy....

I dunno, I think solid snake was a pretty badass motherfucker that did more ultimate good for the world - he essentially undid the shit that Big Boss started (that spiraled out of control)

Big Boss formally accepted his title long after defeating The Boss, upon the realization that The Boss' ideals died with her. He could clear his own path in a sense and change the world the way he wanted it changed. And he tried to, and that shit got pretty fucked up for him and his path ultimately became evil (the patriots, etc)

SS undid all that shit, and left the world in a state where, as Big Boss put it, is better off without snakes.

Big Boss: Boss... you were right. It's not about changing the world. It's about doing our best to leave the world... the way it is. It's about respecting the will of others, and believing in your own.

Big Boss: Boss... you say there's only room for one Snake... no... the world is better off... without Snakes...
[Snake shares a final smoke with Big Boss as he nears his end]

I think it's pretty dope he let that lineage die with him (presumably whenever he did kick the bucket from that old age fuck you toxin)

I was ascribing to the fact that the philosophers were already going ahead with the plans before Big Boss was even snake. There was still a ton of money Zero had no access to. Plus the time it took to amass and reconcile everything China got from that big tittied bitch from 3. But its been awhile in my brain.
