It depends on what you're doing. If you're AoE kiting, you'd want selo's, chords of dissonance / the level 18 upgrade, hymn of restoration, boastful bellow for pulling (unless you carry a lot of throwing weapons). If you're solo meleeing, you'd want a pretty similar lineup, but also self-haste (jonthan's whistling warsong) and slow (largo's melodic binding). If you're grouping, it depends on what other people in your group are doing. You can heal with hymn of restoration, pull with selo's and kelin's lugubrious lament, mez with kelin's lucid lullaby, haste your group with anthem de arms, slow with largo's melodic binding. All of the previous advice is for low level bards; as you level up you get upgrades to these songs, you get different songs that are also useful (e.g. mana song, charm song), and so on. Certainly. You're an extremely valuable member of any group (especially a group without an enchanter; bard/enchanter roles overlap a lot although not 100%). You can pull, tank, CC, slow, haste, heal, DPS, etc.; it depends on what your group needs (also, obviously you're better at some of these things than others). You can also solo melee, especially once you're able to fear kite (level 26).
