Tranny is like the word *****.

Transgendered individuals can say it to refer to themselves, but if you say 'look at that fucking tranny', it's offensive.

Haha. Who cares. I would just watch who you say it around. I don't give a shit, I think it's hilarious. I have other trans friends I say it freely around and they get mad lol.

I find it increasingly hard to relate to other transpeople these days. It's horrible, really, and there's one big thing (not a penis) that I have realized.

My biggest pet peeve is when someone complains about women's rights and social commentary when they themselves are fetishistic about their gender. I've seen some non-passable CDs that feel they're being untreated unfairly and complain about transgender rights when in reality they are causing the issues to begin with. 'Trap' culture is okay, if talked about jokingly, but there's some motherfuckers that actually think it's acceptable to do that sort of thing. That gets us in trouble more than anything else. Well, that, and...

The worst thing that can possibly happen is some non-attractive dude in a dress become the poster child for the transgender movement. And guess what; that's happening in the world, and it's disgusting.

Isn't the entire point of the trans movement about it being bad to judge someone based upon their outward appearance?

Yeah, I kind of have to agree with kaga here, even though I'm not transgender so I can't really speak with much authority on what the trans movement is or should be about. To me it seems like it's more about not equating genitalia with gender, so really a transgendered person doesn't necessarily have to look like anything. The attractive "girl" next door could very well identify as male despite their appearances, and if they decide they want to be more feminine than masculine and be trans at the same time, I can't really think of a legitimate reason as to why that's not okay.

I get the feeling there's a hugely misconceived notion that trans people are pretty much either a guy that chooses to be and therefore look like a girl, or vice versa. This is a very narrow view of transgenderism which I can easily dispell from personal experiences, and I have probably only known a few people that readily identified as trans. However, on kaga's point, or rather question, that the trans movement is about being non-judgmental towards people's appearances, I'd say that this is just a staple of being socially well-adjusted and a decent human being in general.
