I've done some deals for 3.5 : 1 to help people get started in the past, it's always been between a ratio of 3 and 4 iirc.

Rexx touched on a big part of why this is in his post - utility items that need to be purchased like pumices are small, but viable, platinum sinks.

i'm 100% certain that blue guilds spend exponentially more on recharges on blue than we do for pumices on red

also i'm fairly certain red isn't filled with millions of duped/exploited plat sitting on characters like it is on blue

if you had a way to check the amount of platinum on the entire server, i'd bet that blue platinum in circulation outnumbers red at least 40 to 1

A huge portion of the "illegitimate" platinum on blue has been removed - I'd estimate that little remains. I've put a ton of work into tracking stuff like that down, and so did Ephi.

In regards to clickies, blue player don't actually spend that much on recharges - there are a handful that use extremely expensive clickies like puppet strings, but those are the exception, not the norm.

That will change in Velious when the big raid guilds start burning through their million pp recharge items so that they can down the big targets before anyone else.

Almost all the die-hard pvpers carry around damage shield potions, sow potions and pumice in conjunction with making sure they have clickies, such as shrunken goblin skull earring, bracer of the hidden, spyglass and jboots.

As a caster you will burn through more peridots as you will always be using the best buffs and ensuring you have skins always up.

On my Necro, if I don't actively farm at least a couple hours a week (on either my main or alts) I will bleed plat.
