There are many reasons why people don't go looking for random people to group with. Mostly because they want all guild groups, not at your level as much, but still a possibility. That's why guilds like KWSK existed, to diminish the struggle and necessity of /who all lfg.
We also live in a world of minimalists. If i can do HS south with a cleric and ench why would i want to split loot with 4 additional people or exp for that matter. I'd say look for a baby guild and progress to a raiding one when you hit late 40s.

The only thing worse than not being able to find a group, is finding one where the leader is a window-licker and just invites whoever is standing around, until the group consists of two paladins, two clerics, and two bards. (Not far off from actual groups I've had in KC). Then once the group is full, the proper classes show up about 5-10 minutes later and end up sitting there LFG. Congratulations, now everyone is either getting shit XP or no XP.
PSA: If you are building a group, composition matters. I'd rather go out and get a job than be a part of your disgusting hodgepodge.
