Well the autopsy guy says that he hasnt had access to the officer yet and that its important for him to determine if a struggle took place.
If we let the cops break up every gathering because someones breaking the law nearby, then we are opening the doors for them to set up plants in those gatherings to provide pretexts to break up any protest they want. Ive been to alot of protests, that is a constant. They will consistently use the pretext of a window being broken, of one guy doing this in a crowd of 1000s to send the riot cops in to disperse everyone.
Im not conspiracy theorizing here, im not saying this whole thing was a set up, im saying people have a right to peacefully assemble. The institutional response im talking about is stuff like drenching west florissant with so much tear gas that the CNN reporters have to wear gas masks.

If it was just a case of a window being broken here, you'd have an argument. As it is, they haven't broken things up in any way until buildings are on fire or live ammo is being fired at them. Watch the live streams of the protests and see if you come to a different conclusion. Until shit goes down, all they're doing is getting people off the streets and onto the sidewalks so that traffic can move around normally. People can assemble all they want, but they can't all gather in the middle of the road. The one sketchy thing that I saw last night was the reporters all being told to go to one specific area (this was after many rounds were fired at police). The press should be able to go anywhere they want as long as they aren't breaking the law, same as anyone else.
