There are two things I think when I give lower level players my old items.
One do they seem like they are going to stick around for the long haul. Two is this just an alt of theirs. If I'm going to give something away I tend to just chit chat with the person get to know them and how they feel about EQ as well as their EQ experience. If they seem new and I get the feeling they are dedicated to making some sort of a long haul I'll offer them the item. Then I add them to my friends list and I check to see if they're online multiple times of day. Sorta stalker-ish but atleast I know that my items aren't being sold in EC or deleted in 2 days. So far it's been a win-win relationship for me and the new players I help. They regularly communicate with me and tell me about their progress. Getting to know people and regularly communicating with them is something welfare needs to do. There is a reason some people are homeless and don't have anything nice. They have poor money management skills and they will never get better at it. | ||
