game is gonna have same problem every single open world pvp game/server has had past 10 years

pvpers grief the people farming and the farming is already not very fun so the farmers just quit or move to another game/server that doesnt allow them to be griefed

like i said it will be a fun month but this game will have same problem these games always have which is the pvpers griefing the fuck out of the non pvpers and them all quitting relatively quick
World's too big for every trade ship that's robbed 10 more slip through, and smart guilds escort their tradeships with Galleons.

not sure if you played the game or not but other than pvp its super boring and grindy as shit

2 ganks are all its gonna take to make non pvpers quit, specially when the pvpers grief their boats after robbing them (which they always do)

Dude I'm in beta Ghost and Shots Fired been the best pirate guilds so far. And even they couldn't stop large guilds from trading.

The game is still in closed beta lol 75% of the endgame content isn't even added yet. This game is basically everything Shadowbane wanted to be but didn't have the tech to do it yet. Shadowbane was 10x more hardcore, unforgiving, and ruthless and was still Number 1 MMO for 6 months after launch. Game failed because it got hacked and all the cities got deleted not because of open world pvp or griefing issues which was just daily life on Shadowbane.

Hell Shadowbanes EMU still has 3x the pop 99blue does even at it's peak.

Gotta say. Level 20 now. Questing is just like WoW, super stale.

I've been told however this is basically the tutorial to do the quest line up to lvl 30 then you can do whatever you want so I'll tough it out.

I will never understand why they only make MMO's fun to play after you already dump in tons of trivial hours grinding at not fun stuff.

I'm not a fan of the theme-park quest styles, myself. But realistically there's not many other options when you're still in the 'learning and character development' phase of the game, which is up until level 30, arguably. I like that they twist crafting quests in there too, as I understand it that player-made items can be some of the better stuff out there at this time. Once you hit 50 though, and have people to roll around with, things definitely get more interesting (just like in any game, hell even Red99) in that there are much more PvP opportunities, nautical combat, and more.

Exactly the themepark aspect is only a Tutorial, the game becomes a complete sandbox at 50. Tradeskills do give you some of the best gear. But you don't have to do tradeksills to get that gear. You could never touch a tradeskill, spend all your days robbing people, get rich and buy that gear from other players. You could do world raid mobs for great gear, or just buy that gear from player's that sell it.

It's pretty unigue in the fact that a player can literally choose their preferred playstyle and end up fully geared at endgame. The blue aspect of the game totally feeds the games pvp. They've done something that only Shadowbane has previously done, they killed the treadmill!
