In order to give red two competitive guilds that war over end game content you would only need one thing...

Make Lite, Jib, Andis, Colgate, Jeremy, and Murda run a guild together. Personally I think you got a better shot of surviving a Nuclear Bomb with a tinfoil shield. But if you could make all those ego's work together and bring their crews...

and by some miracle the guild wasn't banned in the first month, you'd have a guild that stole over 50% of the endgame content. Just had to say it because I was tired of hearing a ton of BS that would equal nothing.
thats azrael + murda

But if it wouldnt have been Nizzar and Nihilum, it would have been some other guild.

I also don't buy into the "if not nihilum it would be another guild" narrative. There have been plenty of other pvp boxes that have not been like this. Nihilum is a perfect storm of nerds and unemployment with complacent staff.

People just need to quit obsessing about ways to turn this into this wonderfully balanced, perfect video game. Take it for what it is worth, play when it is fun and log off when you have something better to do.

Like 40 people in the entire world even give a shit who got what dragon, and even if they do, it is forgotten in 2 weeks. It isn't winning to be more like Nihilum. Remember when they did 50-60 as a guild in like 4 days pre xp bonus? How many people do you think put in for vacation and then spent it playing EQ ~16 hours a day.

Don't put that kind of expectation on any of the resistance leadership. I wouldn't push that on someone I didn't like, much less someone I do enjoy playing with.

Thats what i mean though, to me xp loss in pvp is what put Nihilum there when they started out. If it wasnt for that, they could have been guerilla challenged. They could have been challenged anyway with some extra good opposition working together, which didnt happen. Maybe ok some other guild wouldnt have proceeded exactly the same way but im sure thats what Rogean had in mind. Some blue like poopsock mechanic where someone can "win" a zone and PVE on it after the other side gets hit with xp loss. Side effect was that it tilted the game table heavily toward zerging (which every MMO has anyway)

Im not sure what happened after, they didnt care, didnt have time, didnt think there was anything wrong with a guild having 0 contest day in day out for months but they left the mechanic there long enough so that Nihilum could establish that dominance and the opposition unable to build something solid because it was so much harder to go to the opposition and so much easier to get geared up through the zerg. It was super hard to build something vs Nihi and super easy for Nihilum to capitalize on that headstart advantage. The staff was told this would happen repeatedly long before Kunark hit.

This box is stale and half of those players aren't going to do anything long term. Maybe Jib and Jeremy would be interested in taking Nihilum's place and raiding uncontested pixels for 2 years but the rest are always in it for short spurts.

That team you posted has already happened. It is history now. They took a couple PD and everyone quit shortly after.

If Nihilum wasn't providing an ongoing structure for people to enjoy PvE or on the other side of the fence providing an enemy for people to strive to defeat this box would be dead.

Look at yourself. Without Nihilum your life would have no meaning.

Should be awards given for the amount of BS in that post. But your absolutely right you guys are just the best, having an active DEV and GM/Guides in your guild had nothing to do with your success, server gets randomly reset all the time when mob spawn timers are off LAWL! This guy drank the cool-aid.

I didn't really say much about Nihilum's success in my post. Just saying the box is stale and those people you listed aren't really interested in long term competition. They have competed in the past and been successful. I don't know if you were active when their success took place.

I think you are one of the few people who actually care besides a little forum questing and you aren't even involved in it.
