I'll usually either just spam level 4 mez until it blurs, or use lowest mem blur. I only ever use something else, like blanket of forgetfulness, if I want to blur a group of mobs.
Gnome illusion. Duck+run into door. Click off illusion. Stand up. Click probe. Click off probe buff after you pop through the door. I XPed at HS entrance at 52 on my chanter on red, though waiting until 54 isn't a bad idea. I liked it at 52 because it was so dead in there... never had to worry about someone floating down from above and blasting me like in CoM or whatever, plus you get spell drops. You could kill the challenge mobs in north at 54, it'd just be very dangerous, especially for the boss up there. I love shaman potions for curing poison and disease. C2 is actually less important (when you're in HS) than ToT is, haha. You'll get it to drop if you spend a few levels grinding in HS anyway; 51-54 spells all over the place in the whole zone. Berserker strength and rune 5. Don't be afraid to spend dots or put BS up (in front of rune) for trying to break into a larger spawn, especially if the mobs in there can HT or cast. Chewie is scared of leaving his swamp, and everyone else is scared of HS ("WE XP IN LCY CAUSE WE NEED TSTAFFS BRO"). I think I saw 4 players total in the zone in the time it took me to take red Tecmos from 52 to 56, and none of them were anywhere except entrance, basement, or north. You can totally dominate all of HS on a chanter on red. Don't listen to the baddies who think that just because you don't have a hat and a soulfire it is impossible to solo in there. Just know the right spots to die and the right items to keep in bank and/or on corpses to keep CR pain to a minimum and it is basically as simple to CR as it is to recharge a hat on blue anyway. | ||
