Played on Rallos Zek for 4 years and enjoyed it 95% of the time. PvP makes EQ an entirely different game.

That being said, EQ PvP isn't balanced and can be extremely frustrating. It's not really skill-based PvP. Sure, in some instances the better or more seasoned player can overcome a weaker opponent, but some classes just dominate. EQ PvP, imo, is about the group battles and politics.

Some of the best times and encounters involved guilds warring each other, fighting over spawns, "claiming" zones, and never really being "safe" -- always keeping an eye out for who is in the zone.

I have no idea if red99 resembles what I remember about my Rallos Zek days, but the low population is reason enough not to invest my time.

The politics of EQ might lend themselves to PvP, but the actual game systems give you hands down the worst PvP I've ever seen in 15 years of playing MMO's.
