Default Random window close

So everquest every now and again closes without any type of error message or warning of possible crash. The window simply closes and I'm back at the desktop....anybody else have this issue and is there a fix for it?

I've had the same issue, It seems to happen when i'm holding the alt or ctrl key for longer then a couple seconds - or if i'm holding that key then trying to move around with the arrow keys.

I haven't been able to pin down the issue, but I don't assume there's a fix for it.

Do you get "String not found" in your log file? If so, here's the thread about it -- http://www.project1999.org/forums/showthread.php?t=5451

Is it actually closing your client? Or just dropping you to the desktop and leaving EQ running in the background? If it keeps EQ running it is likely a system popup or another program trying to get your attention that may be gone by the time your comp drops EQ.

I've found that most crashing issues can be remedied by downloading and using WinEQ2 to run your EverQuest game. I use it, and swear by it. Google WinEQ2 and head to the lavish website. Sign up. Download. Run it. I'm willing to bet it will assist you folks that are having issues involving random crashes.
