Game Mechanics: Give a charmed pet a torch = Quad?

To my knowledge, this did not work on live.

However, having low weight torches allowing quads somewhat remedies the nonclassic issue of weapons not being recoverable from charmed NPCs for those too poor to afford WR bags.
