The Y axis on that map starts at -600 but I am at +1700 so I am over 2000 meters or whatever away from even where that map starts.. Very far north. Not sure what to do.

You may want to double -check your navigation. Remember that /loc reports in a (y, x) format and not the more familiar (x, y).
