Yep, it's top to bottom on Dispel.

Was remembering wrong, wasn't any Cold both Fire.

Fear had to of been some weak version on him too, regular fear he would be nearly unkillable.

Sontalak's abilities:

Dragon Roar (Weak Version)
Beholder Dispell (4 Slot Dispel)
Molten Breath (650DD - he procs this and its AE range is dictated from the target)
Lava Breath (250DD - This is his regular AE)

I think this is correct although he could proc for 250 and AE for 650, anyone with logs from EQMac? He should be an absolute beast, why I remember 650 as the proc.

Both Molten Breath and Lava Breath have 4 slot dispels.

Beholder Dispel is flagged as Positive, so it will only dispel Sontalak.

There are two versions of the Fear listed on lucy.alkabor, my Velious spdat doesn't give me correct Resist checks. One has -150 resist check and the other 0 resist check. Sontalak's Fear should be the 0.

theyve made everything much harder also so people couldnt go back and duo everything, im pretty sure thats true for all the velious content we are dealing with

I don't remember Sontalak ever Fearing, maybe it was really weak?

He should AE Fire, Proc Cold, and dispel I think.

Was great after a wipe in TOV. Would cast lvl 1 wiz spell and agro him right before I zoned in. Fear would hit everyone, and it was a slaughter. Many mad people made eq so much fun.

Shows beholder dispell as a targeted aoe and he uses a different dispell on himself. No mention of a proc on the page. This is one of the comments though.

melee is pretty weak, but flurries (hit me under 300)

procs 702 dd when he hits you...and procs a LOT

AEs for 650.
AEs fear.

dispells 1 buffs when fighting from side, 4 when fighting him head on.

has about 80-90k hp.

he dispells himself so if you debuff, you have to keep re-debuffing

his AE is fire based, and dispells one buff and AE fears (its a weak form of fear though). Good luck, we tried at this guy a few times, but no luck yet. but he will be owned soon

There was a dispel guide linked around here proving random dispelling at one point (for some mobs)

Everything but Inny and Phinigal should top down (those 2 should be random) .

But, we should note what strength the spell is for things like this. Dispels should work from the top down but check the strength of the effect before trying to remove it (thread here for Haynar eventually blessing it).

I remember him procing the mage spell "Char". I clearly remember resisting this. Not easy to find any results with googling char.
