We've had weekend spawns for a very, very long time. They are good for me but not everyone can do weekends. I think it's good to mix it up. I know a lot of people were very happy about this.
In addition to this, which is true, we also have to take into consideration how this will gradually shift the spawn times. It doesn't work the same way for raid mobs as for, like, the Froglok Assassin, where the mob's spawn will be pushed forward a few minutes every time because the group takes however long to actually engage and kill it and then it spawns exactly 30 minutes later, but what we're about to see is 8 or 10 or 16 hour windows starting at 6, 7 AM, which means those windows (and subsequently the spawns) will be during the day/evening. This will last for a while until the spawns get pushed back again gradually, but it's going to be nice while it lasts.

I thought the group had asked developers to look at having the earthquake mobs not reset the weekly spawn timers for the regular weekly spawns, so that earthquakes were truly additional spawns. Did that not happen?

If the earthquake happens within some amount of hours of the mobs spawn or the mob being in window, it will reset the timer.

So, if the mob last spawned on, say Saturday, the Tuesday earthquake would be a truly additional spawn since the next spawn would be Saturday again? Is that why some are concerned about the additional drops entering the economy?

Correct.

But those that think a few resets every month (more like 1 every other month) are going to do anything to our 4 year Kunark economy are dumb.

This is not true.
So you could have 2 dragons spawn within hours of each other? And the spawn timer stays on the original schedule for Saturday (in the example)?

e.g. Earthquake happens, dragon spawns. Then the normal spawn happens 2 hours later.

Could've sworn Rogean posted that's how it worked. But maybe it just puts the respawn timer on hold. I forget. It's sort of moot since simulated repops are pretty few and far between.
