The fact is, the Nihilum strategy works. If we were to disband tomorrow another guild with exactly the same attributes would take our place and run the server. It's EVERQUEST man...don't hate the player.
I have always said that I 100% support Nihilum's play style. That isn't the problem, the problem is that mobs being perfectly lined up for months on end for the bigger guild to consume them is flat out not classic. As checkraise has stated a million times, during the classic times there were patches every other week which would allow smaller guilds to remain relevant, still bring in some loot, and which means if you want loot you don't have only one option.

News flash, this is eq emulator, you can't be picky choosey over every person you invite. With nihilum on the sever you best be prepared to Zerg in order to compete or be ok with taking what you can get raid wise.

That's the name of the game here. Maybe another server will open that allows a different play style but crying about it here isn't going to change anything
might not change anything, but won't stop me for laughing at the losers who came here to "fight nihilum", talked so much shit, and just ended up another warm body.

A lot of emotion over elf adventure. I may not even be around for velious. Will see after honeymoon in October but either way I had fun playing: if you're having to make 7 threads about how things are unfair then it sounds like you aren't having fun.

Maybe try a new server or game? Idk

Every live PVP server had one dominate guild/group taking 95% of the raid targets for extended periods. I have never argued against simulated repops either, just variance.

Server reset isn't variance though. I like the idea of raid timing switching around, just not poopsocking.

no problem with that at all. I have no problem with growing Azrael to that number, but we would like to go about it the correct way, which simulated repops allows for. Gradual growth. Not in this server's format where you have to go about it through taking in practically whatever you can get. Which forces people to take actions such as guild inviting people like checkraise which Nihilum has had to reluctantly recruit on more than one occasion now. Every time Checkraise has gotten into Nihilum has been in times of Desperation. It is no secret when Red Dawn broke up Nizzar wanted absolutely nothing to do with him. The first time he had to sneak in on ricardo, this time Nizzar wanted nothing to do with him. But you guys had to invite him because you needed numbers. Not because you liked him, not because he is a cool dude who you genuinely enjoy ... No, most of the guild didn't want him and after Red Dawn broke up this guy had nowhere to go. But because of the fact that you were getting fucked you have to sacrifice what your guild is about and take absolutely any disliked prick.

We could have had Checkraise . Colgate would tell us every day about how he wanted to join us, that neckbeard could have been fighting on our behalf, but we simply do not operate that way. Having greater numbers and doing anything to win is not what we are about. We like a chill environment and to play with people whose company we genuinely enjoy. That shouldn't mean we can't compete.
