Knowledge of the game I know a basic understanding of the game. I'm very familiar with BST's but they aren't in the game, and I don't miss them being in the game.

I have read a good way to make some money, especially as a druid, is to take up tailoring. Thoughts?

I would say.. no. I have found farming to be the best way to make money. I say this because i have never bought a tailored item, but i could be wrong.

yea i wouldnt consider anything but Alchemy and Jewelcrafting for $$ making trade skills. like the post above stated, your best bet once appropriately leveled will be to farm for your $.

ya know im not going to project my play style onto you, but I really would not think for more than a second about collecting plat or even gear until you gain some levels.

my approach to mmos is always to bust my butt and do everything i can/allocate all my time to leveling and then come back for the gear/plat. I do understand however many classes need to gear up to really viably play the game, however in your case this is not... the case.

Even with my current cost for spells? I struggled just a bit to get my level 9 spells, and fear that I may not make enough for my next set. Especially since most of the people I group with /autoloot before I can even take a turn.

I'm always up for trying anything really. I don't care, my main goals are exploring the world/making money not for self benefit/levels. In that order.

When i say making money, not for self benefit. I like to make money and then give some to starting players. I always did this. In WoW, and EQ2 when I played. I didn't do it when I played EQLive, because I was very young and was focused on exploring.

Basically it's my way of repaying back the community for a few good eggs that I've dealt with.

Well Azeth was telling you to not worry about accumulating large wealth until later on because when you think about it spending an hour when you are level 20 making $ will equate to about 5 minutes of work once you are 50.

Now if you are needing some plat to buy some spells, then yes of course do whatever short term farming you need to do. Go get some bone chips and sell them for 5pp a stack, not 2pp.

Don't worry about giving back to the community at your level. Just level up and port me around.

tell you what....level the necro that you love more than the druid...play the druid on the side when you need a break, once your necro is high enough you can easily farm your druid items and money just by fear-kiting mobs....which you can then give to your druid
