EC is like the worst place for a trading zone. I know they're bluebies and all so we should cut them some slack, but it must take a pretty dense group of people to decide an area 2+ zones away from a bank is the best place to base their economic activity. Especially in a game like EQ where you sometimes deal in obscene amounts of money and it snares you.

I believe you or someone else made this argument before but Gfay only caters to those who aren't evil. EC however caters to everyone (except Iksars, sorry Iksar bros) since you have Neriak and Freeport within equal distance from EC (close enough.) EC was the trading hub on Cazic-Thule and on other servers.

Faydwer is a garbage continent.

Yeah. Darkies can trade in the damp underground, dark tunnels and haunted forests. Where they belong.

That's one of the best things about Kelethin. The guards work hard to keep the riffraff in check, even though they're too soft on dwarves and humans.

Nope pals. Best place is Kelethin. This is where we traded back in classic on rallos zek. Has a bank everyone can use from the window, tons of guards to stop pvping, and all the newbs trying to level in the area can get buffs and free gear. Was the shit, i miss.

This is what I thought as well but Hivemind taught me that you aren't safe by the guard in the bank. He beat the shit out of my Druid twice in front of the guards in Kelethin. So don't think you are safe there.

The issue with this, or any market place is the toxicity and neckbeard of the cesspool of players that is Red99.

I can easily imagine a high lvl bard kiting the banker around Gfay, freeport, etc for hours on end just to troll people because this is biggest accomplishment of their lives.
Back in classic, people still had respect for opposing teams and for themselves, this is all but lost on toxic99. I don't think any zone would work.
