Default Sk soloing?!

So, i am now level 29 as an shadow knight. Im wondering it is now worth it to start soloing some blues for reliable xp, or should i still worry about group up? I just dont want to be level 34 when kunark hits (If it does) and cant do any of the epic things there.

Excuse my newbishness, but i am wanting to catch up with everyone. And i dont want to have to run around, get a bind, and keep a group waiting for a hell of a long time.

Kunark has content for all levels I believe. You could do 1-60 there without ever leaving.

SK's are great at soloing - go for it!

SKs are good at soloing but it isn't efficient and with your experience penalty you will level slower than if you were in a group. Not a bad practise to do while looking for a group though. Just keep vampiric embrace on and have fear ready if you get low on health and need to kite.

I solo'd a lot on my SK when I couldn't get groups. Having a Mithril 2Hander helps though.

Yar I managed to solo undead cyclops at 29 and felt like I was the king of karanas. Much kiting and medding in a distance was done. =p

You can solo as SK, it's just that when you see a necro somewhere you kinda feel like you're doing the exact same thing, just not nearly as well.
EDIT: Unless you're madly twinked I guess!

The EXP penalty point is a good one. If you're in a group, you spread your penalty around, so (unless the group's all hybrids) you're going to have a far smaller one. If you're soloing, that penalty's all yours.

If it doesn't work too well at 29, try again at 30. FD is great for splitting spawns in dungeons for the xp bonus and for a 'do-over' if a fight doesn't go well or you get trained. Another dot, higher pet, and new lifetap also help.
