Michael Dorn said he'd love to do it too, sass there's 0 interest in the idea production side. They should just man up and give Seth MacFarlane a shot at it. It couldn't be worse than Enterprise/most of Voyager and it'd easily have more Sci-fi/less fantasy than the Bad Robot stuff.
Nah. MacFarlane would just crap it up. Enterprise was pretty horribad. Do not EVER speak against Voyager though. One of the best!
I just can't believe that they made those two abominations of Star Trek movies and did t ride the popularity to some sort of new series. Wasted effort on that one. Bad move.

MacFarlane would have better potential to do a good job than anyone else on the market IMO, he's a true fan and worked directly with the writers on several occasions, particularly on enterprises 4th season (you know, the good season).

Voyager was pretty certifiably god awful, it had its amazing moments I'll grant you but overall it had too many plot inconsistencies and omg Janeway would of not stayed in the captain's chair if she pulled half of that shit in federation space! (Tuvix much?)
Then there's the nurturing of the Borg. I loved seeing them so often but they explained literally everything about them by the end. Half of the charm of the Borg as an adversary was that they were an indescribable force of nature.

The new movies were great, though they were terrible start trek movies, it's important to make the distinction that it was essentially star wars in a star trek setting.

To each their own I guess. But I enjoyed Voyager as much as I enjoyed DS9. Of course Janeway pulled all sorts of crap. She was stuck in the Delta Quadrant. Plus, she was just the female Kirk. Kirk did all sorts of.disturbing stuff, especially in the books.
The fact that you have to make a star wars defense for the new star trek movies just tells me how bad they actually are.

If she was the female Kirk she would of said yes to Q and had their ship zipped home.

It's less of a star wars defense and more of understanding the pitiful excuse of popular culture.

No. Kirk would have spat in Q's face everytime he saw him. Kirk hated godlike entities.

Exactly how I feel. I watch all manner of science fiction, good science fiction. Dr Who is not good science fiction. It kind of reminds me of Lexx, but even Lexx was better. there have been so many better science fiction shows in the past couple of decades that DR Who can't hold a candle to, yet people are like "Dr Who is god's gift!" Paleease...
if you think lexx is better than dr. who, you must be smoking the worst crack in the world and i strongly suggest you stop.

I thought enterprise sucked when i first watched it, ended up re-watching it again once all the seasons were on netflix and it was pretty good. Just don't follow archer as the top dog in the show, I ended up liking reed/tucker more than anyone else on the show

I found that voyager was kind of an ugly ship (not a fan of the intrepids), replace janeway with a dude, (sp) chakotai with a female or a different male cast member, kill off neelix, keep tom paris and you've got a good show.
