I Just want to say, that I stand right between Juana and Vile. I appreciate Viles hard work to make things more usable, but i am thankful that there are people like Juana that are dedicated to keep p99 EQ classic.

yeah i've been playing with this, it's great, but I think that you should be able to just search the item, and the results would show wts, wtb, red, blue and have them be sortable by those variables. also no sure on the time you can stay logged in... i left the tab open, came back to it an hour or so later and had to re log in. not that huge of a deal just would be nice to stay permanently logged

Sorry P99 will never be Classic EQ - we all have 15 years of hindsight and technology, and we aren't even using the classic client.

If you are against this app - you should also be against using widescreen LCD's, dual monitors, alt-tabbing, anything but 1024x768 resolution, etc.

Is that how you are playing P99 Jauna?

hey guys lets not speak in absolutes. Juana has a fair point, the difference between apps that may reduce population of people in EC and playing the game on widescreen monitor is drastic.

The dedication that people have are what make this server great, Viles dedication to tools, jaunas and people like him that are dedicated to not ruining the ascetic of classic eq.

They are both leveraging technology that has become widespread in the last 15 years to make something easier.

I think EC could do with a population decrease as it is, I mostly use ahungry since at night with 150 people spamming its impossible to parse what's going on.

So I'm guessing Juana doesn't use the p99 wiki. Cause that's not classic. We searched the internets far and wide back in 99-2000 and couldn't find walkthroughs for even half the content on the wiki. Also I'm sure he doesn't use a voice chat program. That's not classic and greatly eases the pain of grouping/raiding. What's next Juana? Are you going to just set up voice commands and tell your computer how to play EQ for you? Keep it classic!!!

And you are taking trivial things and hitting your keyboard making you think you have a point, but no. And to answer you: I dont have dual monitors, alt-tabbing was introduced in the Velious Era (classic) because listening to downloaded music on Winamp ('membah winamp?) anyways. Back then people used to hack their clients to be able to window out, so they allowed players to do so. also did you know about Alt+K? You got me on the Resolution and widescreen however if it makes you feel better.

And you are right, this is not classic EQ, but two things: its close enough and I would like to keep it close enough because I highly doubt this Auction House/Bazaar App will be the last of it. And if you really want all these "quality of life" things introduced via apps to P99, go check out everquest.com. Shits free as well and you probably have your old characters there. And just because "its not classic enough for me" does not mean you can do everything you can to make it worse.

I remember Allakhazam and EQAtlas always being at my fingertips back in Classic. The reason why we do not use Allas now is because some classic items got updated (kunark class armor) or added new things to old zones.

And did you forget that Roger Wilco was a thing? You could have it run in the backround even when you were unable to Window out

Looks awesome, but it'd be nice to have unanchored search results following the anchored ones.

For example, if I type "oracle", I want "Robe of the Oracle" to pop up, without having to lead with "Robe", which then has the pulldown of a ton of Robe of the Something.
