No... FFA just means sandbox where the players invent their own reasons for PvP. It's really a lot of fun. But yeah I'm super excited for teams [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]
There really are tons of nice people in TMO/Nihilum/Azrael, but that doesn't mean you're not the bad guys when you're acting as a guild. It's easy to step on the little guy and you totally do even if you run around rezzing them afterward :P
Maybe it's better now with the forced rotation. I never understood why people would play on a blue server if they weren't going to work together to share the loot and stuff. EQMac was big on being friendly and it almost made me want to play there.

How does killing xyz mob make me the bad guy? They're more than willing to buy the cleric epic MQ after i get done pearljacking them :P And because we're not done acquiring more raiding tools. Even with my vast hordes of characters I could use more resist gear on quite a few of them, my pullers (2) need bladestoppers, which aren't cheap. My warrior could use puppet strings, maybe an AoN, and still a green scale though the VP weapons are sufficing for now. The level of competition at 60 requires these things to get targets consistently. I bought 7 DA idols this week and used every single one in VP (by proxy, handing them out, again I sit at zone in :P). Also completed 2 soulfires--used 1, saving 1 for a VS sock.
Admittedly I think the selling of epic MQs really rubbed people the wrong way and made relations break down between top tier guilds and others. It's just pretty awesome to log on, port 30-40 dudes into hate and just zerg rush inny down while bda is buffing at zone in or whatever. Class R guilds haven't competed on a FFA mob in like a month--even the easy shit like fay / sev!
