Thanks again for all the tips guys.
The reason I asked for a more complete list is that I am sure other people are thinking the same as me. Blue has a "Class Selection Guide" that I've pointed my RL friends to when coming to this server and it is very well done and quite useful. If someone gets free time I'd suggest making one for red. In the mean time, since someone asked what I myself am considering, I'll list them out and if I can get the gist of what "life is like" as these classes (PvP, PvE, guild, raid, whole package) on Red99 AND how common these classes are, I'd appreciate it. Somewhat in order of my preference. Bard - Probably my first pick Ranger - Somehow offensive melee focus + snare + track seems really strong in pvp and the exp bonus seems mitigated by the group bonus. True? If all of this is true, it may tie Bard for me. Bard vs Ranger analysis for extra credit? Wizard - Is their burst as good as it feels like it should be? With group bonus, can they level well? Enchanter - Why do I feel like charming mobs and sending them at people is strong in pvp? Also, in terms of the big guild fights for spawns (truly the coolest thing about Red99 imo), what classes are there never enough of and do people want more of? Thanks ya'll.

I am also in this boat. Would like to start a red character but dont want to waste time and find out my choice was poor for pvp.
I was thinking SK - is the dmg output decent outside of HT in a pvp setting also is HT resistable?? obviously in PVE it is terrible Wizard - seems fun to blow people but do resists get in the way? Mage - same with wizard but pet seems like it may be helpful? Warrior - I have heard they are OP on red99? Cleric - seem to be unkillable? seem fun for pvp since its not the same ol pve CH chain? Shaman - are dots always resisted any good for pvp? Monk - always sseems like a good choice lol Rogue - sneak and ambush people or get raped by a bunch of people?

Enchanter if let untouched will wreck havoc.
Mezing healers or casters off to them selves hiding from melee trains, free casting from a far ( most people do not refresh their crim pots if the fight lasts more than 2 min). 4 slot dispel is huge. Your the one who can unless people are burning wands Tash. The best debuff. Fast cast no mana. Takes cure poison to pull off Cripple + weakness. Stick this combo on anything but war and they are toast. Makes the player encumbered to the point of perma root or snared Mana drains

Bard can be really good in group PvP if you are ontop of your shit. You're basically unkillable and are massive help to your group. But you have to actually be into playing a bard.
Ranger could be fun in velious with trueshot. Lasts 2 minutes so that's a good long time. Don't know how good it will actually be though.. velious ain't out yet. Rangers don't do the best dps but have good utility. Also, snare very rarely lands in PvP (2% it lands) so you won't be snaring many pop to death. Wizard always good for exploding ppl. Once you get epic you're even a little beefy. They're good if you can hold back and position yourself well. Enchanter you won't get many kills with your pet. People will either dispel your charm, or fear the mob. Most pop will try and dispel. If you take the time to bury your charm then they might get wrecked in a 1v1 scenario. SK - I play SK and I don't fear many classes. Not the best DPS but beefy with utility. Rogue - you won't be sneaking up on people hidden. Everyone has see invis. But if you do run up on someone they will get HURT. A good rogue in PvP will get many killshots. Rogue are extremely powerful because while their DPS is phenomenal, they're still a melee so they get decent gear and hp. Rogues don't get focused first usually, which gives you time to DPS.
