Necros are strong 1v1 vs other casters...the the main issues are as follows.

1) Everyone has pumice, unlike live

2) Overall DoT dmg is weak

3) Cure pots are every where

4) EoT is awful

The most successful playstyle I had with my necro here is to play them like a wizard. The only DoT i used was Cessastion of Cor (not for the dot but for the -50 STR the wrecks casters; ghetto snare). I would run deflux, touch of night and trucidate and just nuke. Add in 2 DAs and shadowstep you can live thru assists. Call of Bones is great as well to hide amongst the AoN'd skell armies.

I ended up switching to chanter for my previous guild desperately needing one, got an inny shield and never looked back

LizardNecro,,,feel free to hit me up in game on Ksah if you have questions
Agree with everything here except using lifetaps like nukes. Very mana inefficient since taps don't heal for the full amount in pvp like live and you won't win vs players that use skin.

To beat casters use the following; open up with poison bolt to test their pr, if it lands expect a 70% chance of interrupt and follow up with ebolt . Throw in a cessation of cor if they look like they are going to run. If they do not cure poison bolt, once ebolt lands chase them with poison bolt spam until they die.

If they do have high pr, follow up poison bolt with cessation of cor, then vexing moridinia, da because chances are your skin would be gone and you will be on 20-50% health from the nukes. The vexing moridinia will get you back to full when da fades but your opponent would most likely have cured/dispelled or gated and died at their bind , which makes it a stalemate.
