It would suck to live in a place where people can't just be who they are. And I'll bet you a big old bottle of Jack that you do know a gay person who just hasn't bothered sharing details about their life with you or anyone else. (i.e. for fear of being shot!)

I couldn't even be a successful vegetarian in Alabama since it everyone pretty much insisted on putting fatback into every dish that might contain a vegetable. =P
