Insurance is one of the greatest scams pulled on our society. These big insurance companies get to steal your money and get away with it, and you are bound by law to play ball. It is all just gambling when you boil down to it, and I would personally rather take the risk and save myself money, rather than throwing my money into these black hole companies.
How does it make any logical sense that an individual health insurance plan costs $50 per month, and a family plan exponentially increases to $700 a month. (these are real numbers from the place I work) How does it make any logical sense that a "family plan" could theoretically include 3 people or even 15 people, and still be the same damn price? Like what the fuck, how hard is it for these insurance companies to say, well we will cover you, your wife, and your kid for $50 a pop which = $150. But of course not, that would just make too much sense. Why should someone be forced to buy insurance if they are young, healthy, and never in need of it? To prepare for some "what if" scenario that may never happen? | ||
