Hunter died 2 months ago unexpectedly, but he didn't run EQEmu, he ran the 2nd or 3rd largest server. Unless somebody else died as well.

Rogean was a Warrior (Rowgar) in Triality until Underfoot era I believe?

Essentially their guild (and a few others at the time) was using an exploit known as pillar tanking or z axis tanking, where effectively they could have a tank stand behind a pillar and due to geometry / z axis issues the mob couldn't hit them or summon them. Trivializing the event. Also through the use of clever Expedition dropping mechanics they were able to farm a raid that normally had a 4.5 day lockout, by removing everyone but a few junk Alts before the Killshot was delivered so that the lockout was only eaten by some boxed Alts. The later, I'd guess, is part of the reason their guild was singled out though when as they point out several of the other guilds were guilty of the same pillar tanking shit.

At the bottom they mention Rogean's IRC. I *think* after this he quit PC.

Someone said he was a rogue in CT. I'm pretty sure that he wasn't cause he was a warrior in Triality?

It was around this time when P99 was lifting off, and I think he quit EQLive and gradually became more of a driving force behind the project.

Cause and effect kinda shit. Time frees up here, sunk into different project.

But what news station am I like? CNN 'stuck on a phantom plane'? Fox 'dem foreigners took err jerbs'! Or MSNBC 'we will just be in this corner'...

I think you guys are right, I was mis-remembering. I dont follow the other emu servers / eqemulator forums much.
