Fuck that. If someone wants to give me less than what I want for an item, I'm not selling it to them. If someone wants me to pay more for an item than I want to, I'm not buying it from them. You ask me what I want for an item. I tell you. You try to give me less. I tell you I don't want less, I want the amount that I told you I want. You piss and moan and tell me HAGGLING IS THE SPIRITS OF THE GAME. I continue not wanting less for the item and knowing someone else will eventually buy it for what I do want for it and don't sell it to you.


Isn't this the kind of free market you're getting so pissy about? Don't you have just as much ability to find some sap who WILL lower his price for you as I do to find some sap who will pay more for the item?

It's called negotiating. You say 1k, they say 500, you both settle on 750p. If you don't like lowballing or haggling then DON'T TRADE. People are ALWAYS going to want a better deal.

People who don't haggle in real life, are often getting screwed or missing out on the deal they could have. People who haggle make more in their prospective fields and buy cars and other shit for less.

If you don't want to haggle, sell your 1k item for 600pp. Hell! Even then you'll get crazy offers but I feel a degree of public charity when I sell a crystaline shortsword for 80pp and 16 stacks of spiderling/spider silk.

Some offers are insulting. I suspect people ignore these offers bc they don't want to waste their time with someone who is just trying to rip them off to resell it.
