monks are tough, so are warriors, but the fight can be in the SK's favor depending on where it's located. Utility like CoS and FD can turn the side of a fight [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Rogues just get crushed 1v1 against SK's, trade swings of 40 for 400

When I get 60 and my epic will duel. Monks high regen and with a Tstaff you don't need to be a good jouster because of how fast the staff is with epic. Corner casting my disease dot + keeping you away from sticking on me and stay aggressive and its over

monks don't have channeling. Only give us a chance to get in 1 - 2 free jousts

Iksar regen is sweet, but what really wins that fight for a monk is two things: weapon skill and damage mitigation.

T-staff proc is just a bonus - I could easily kill Mirkuls with an IFS.

well aware monks don't have channeling but it's pretty easy to get a single 2 second cast off specially if you are jousting + 1-2 hits not worth how many he will get on you! Not to say the spell is bad, just corner casting it against a monk just aint gona cut it. Gota use that lev advantage

I just have a hard time believing in an even fight (gear, levels, skill, etc) that an SK would lose to any pure melee. But I don't play either on this server in the 2 year long Kunark era with non classic resists either so I'll defer to the experts. All I know is when I played Gabuk on RZ I dispatched any other class 1 on 1 with zero difficulty in most cases. I also played an iksar SK named Ketov on SZ with similar results.
